Here is a quick guide on using the DC Metro to travel to the Swearing In Ceremony. The DC Metro opens at 4:00am on January 20th, and will run until 9:00pm. The Yellow Line Rush+ will be in effect all day.
For security reasons, the following metro stops will be closed on Inauguration day:
- Archives
- Federal Triangle
- Mt. Vernon Square
- Pentagon
- Smithsonian
Below is a guide for ticketholders to use when navigating to their section in the Swearing In Ceremony
- Green Ticket Holders: Seated Sections (even numbers) and Southwest Standing.
Use Capitol South or Easter Market Metro. Enter screening point at C Street and South Capitol Street. Green Gate Only.
- Yellow Ticket Holders: Seated Sections (odd numbers) and Northwest Standing.
Use Union Stateion or NoMa-Gallaudet U Metro. Enter screening point at Delaware Avenue and D Street, NW. Yellow Gate Only.
- Orange Ticket Holders: West Standing and South Standing.
Use Federal Center SW or L’Enfant Plaza Metro. Enter screening point at D Street and Second Street, NW. Orange Gate Only.
- Blue Ticket Holders: West Standing and North Standing.
Use Judiciary Square or Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro. Enter screening point at First Street and D Street, NW. Blue Gate Only
- Red Ticket Holders: Union Square.
Use Judiciary Square or Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro. Enter screening point at Third Street and D Street, NW. Red Gate Only
- Silver Ticket Holders: Mall Standing Area.
Use Federal Center SW or L’Enfant Plaza Metro. Enter screening point at Third Street and C Street, SW. Silver Gate Only.
